Watercolour Serenade was one of the first songs that Pete and Jof Owen (the other half of The Boy Least Likely To) wrote together.
Jof wrote the words and Peter the music, igniting a creative partnership that has resonated around the world, lasting over 15 years and producing 5 albums. The song has remained unheard for so long because it was originally written for Peter to sing and never quite fitted into The Boy Least Likely To's distinctive oeuvre and style.
Pete decided to record it himself and make it the third release of his solo project Diving At Dawn, their debut album will be released at the beginning of 2020.
Watercolour Serenade is simple and uplifting, with a chorus made for a campfire sing along and beautiful lyrical imagery on the movement of the ocean and the impermanence of life, finally this long lost gem gets a chance to be heard.
