Glitterfox • Highway Forever • 2024

Out now on KRS Glitterfox's official video for their single, "Highway Forever" - full of  heartfelt lyrics, infectious hooks, and puppets!

"In June 2015 Solange and I bought a conversion van off of Craigslist. One month later we’d gotten rid of 95% of our belongings, quit our jobs, left our apartment, and were living in the van full-time on the road following a shared dream of making a life in music. We spent two years living in that van together with our two dogs, traveling with the seasons up and down the west coast and cross country.

We’ve been settled in an apartment in Portland, OR for some years now, but I always feel like those years on the road are still alive in me. When I close my eyes I can see rain slapping the windshield wipers and feel the warm relief of neon signs after a long night of driving. I feel like every song that I write now has in it somewhere a love poem written to the road. To me “Highway Forever” is a nostalgic anthem of the traveling musician’s life, a life that is measured in miles of highway and built in following an irresistible dream."

Call Me Spinster • "Married in My Mind” • 2024

Call Me Spinster’s Rosie Graber on the single: “I was driving the eight hours home from our grandfather’s funeral and had a lot of time to think about my new boyfriend, the institution of marriage, being with someone for life, etc. The lyrics first arrived as a surprise as it was way too early to declare anything, but I made a voice memo anyways and the band jumped on the opportunity to make a song that pays homage to the dreamy, chill relationship with my partner I continue to enjoy. For the visual, we wanted to play with tropes of burlesque and reverse burlesque to capture the playful sexiness of daydreaming and, ultimately, getting sweatpants-cozy. The video was shot on Super 8mm film to create a warm, home video vibe that is intimate, timeless, and full of self-love.”

Jacob Faurholt • Burn Burn Here • 2023

Jacob Faurholt prefers music that sounds “homemade”, personally flawed and not perfect. On his new album “Burn Burn Here” he took his preferences seriously. The 11 personal and fragile sounding songs
were recorded during late hours in Faurholt home studio, just beneath his childrens bedroom, which is one of the reasons why his vocals often sound hushed. He did not spend too much time on perfecting his recordings, instead he kept what felt immediate and honest sounding.

Tom Mcgreevy, one half of Ducks LTD., is here to talk about their upcoming second LP, Harm's Way! It's set to release on February 9th and we're all eagerly waiting to hear it. Trust me, this record is truly outstanding and the anticipation is through the roof! Ducks LTD. brings a unique jangle pop sound with an added crispy edge, and this time they've even collaborated with Ratboy and Dehd. It's going to be a blast! Such a great band and I had a fantastic chat with Tom.
Enjoy! 🎙️

Ducks Ltd. are a Toronto band featuring Australian lead guitarist Evan Lewis and U.K-born, U.S.-raised singer, bassist, and rhythm guitarist Tom McGreevy. As Ducks Ltd., the two thrive on skirting the edges of buoyant jangle pop and driving power pop. Their latest album, Harm’s Way, contains anxious songs that McGreevy explains are “about struggling. About watching people I care for suffer, and trying to figure out how to be there for them. And about the strain of living in the world when it feels like it's ready to collapse.”

As the fiftieth birthday approaches, you get the sense that your life is thinning out and will continue to thin out, until it thins out into nothing. And you sometimes say to yourself: that went a bit quick. In certain moods, you may want to put it rather more forcefully. As in: OY!! THAT went a BIT FUCKING QUICK!!!… then fifty comes and goes, and fifty-one, and fifty-two. And life thickens out again. Because there is now an enormous and unsuspected presence within your being, like an undiscovered continent. This is the past. – Martin Amis

Penny Arcade • Jona • 2024

Hailing from a place of ancient mariners' secret coves and vast moors beaten by the wind and rain, Backwater Collage is James Hoare's first solo album under the name of Penny Arcade. Despite leaving London for the West country he grew up in, the Englishman is no stranger to the scene. He has been wandering around as if awakened from a long, not-so-peaceful sleep for some time now. You have most probably come across his washed-out blue eyes several times, in projects including Veronica Falls, The Proper Ornaments and Ultimate Painting.

Red Pants • Not Quite There Yet • 2023

For fans of 90’s Yo La Tengo or Sonic Youth, early Blonde Redhead, with brushes of Trish Keenan melodies. Or like the louder songs from Special Friend and the recent live sound of the band Semi Trucks (also Ira Kaplanmaniacs). -Kevin Linn.

This project by Liquid Fossils’ Jason Lambeth and Elsa Nekola accentuates this drone in Crimson Words, Witching Hour, See You At The Turnstile, and On A Wire. Here, mid-2000’s Sonic Youth-style layers of drone and deadlocked guitars crumble into each other to provide beautiful melodies that appear to have no real source to back their brilliance. janglepophub

The Drives • Maybe I’m a Masochist • 2024

“This song is essentially about becoming complacent in a failing relationship.” shares frontman Andrew Levin. “In my last relationship, I had become so comfortable with being a part of an unhealthy dynamic that I didn’t even realize how unhappy I was. I was constantly focused on fixing a bunch of little problems that I never stepped back and saw how messed up everything had become. This song is basically about the guilt and regret I had for not realizing how bad things were.”

“The Drives have always stayed true to their name as a rock band with plenty of… well, you know.”

“…full of emotion and nostalgia that’s delivered with casual indifference.”

“It’s full of upbeat indie-rock guitar that feels like it jumped right out of an early 2000s coming of age film, in the best way possible.”
