Tony Jay • Knife Is But A Dream • 2024
The songs, themselves, retain a skeletal elegance, a stark contrast to the swirling chaos that surrounds them. The final product evokes the image of a charcoal sketch, rendered with swift strokes and unwavering confidence, a fleeting moment of beauty captured for all time.

Knife Is But A Dream is a beautiful album of sonic escapades and lo-fi balladry, a mixture of ambient instrumentals and the JAMC with a hangover feeling of the sentimental and melancholy, and expressing their feelings into a lo-fi recording device. Another example how beautiful and rewarding for the heart and soul it can be to make and listen to music recorded in a home setting. An album to close one eyes to and drift off to a more relaxing and safe heavenly moment. - Brian ‘Bordello’ Shea (Monolith Cocktail)
Along with Flowertown, Cindy, and April Magazine, Tony Jay closes the circle of Bay Area bands that wander through the fogged end of the indie pop scene… [“The Darkest Corner”] is aloft on a bed of synth and hiss, giving proper ambience to Michael Ramos’s strums and soft delivery. A home-recorded gem that’s built to bridge the bad times, the new record. - Andy French (Raven Sings The Blues)

Lime Garden • I Want To Be You • 2024

Lime Garden's hard-work has also paid off with soaring streaming listeners coinciding with sold-out shows, both headlining and in support of the likes of IDLES, The Big Moon, and Yard Act. In further achievement, they played the British Music Embassy at last year’s SXSW and completed a packed summer of festival appearances across Europe, including Glastonbury where they were invited to play Billy Bragg’s Leftfield Stage. In 2022, Lime Garden were also nominated for the prestigious ANCHOR award at the Reeperbahn festival.

Camera Obscura • Big Love • 2024
Camera Obscura's first album in more than 10 years, Look to the East, Look to the West is the sound of a band that has grown more confident in its sound and purpose than ever. It is Camera Obscura at their best and most evocative, an album that completely rearranges the listener’s emotional core, leaving them sad and exhilarated at the same time. The Tracyanne Campbell–led outfit, reuniting with producer Jari Haapalainen (Let’s Get Out of This Country, My Maudlin Career), have crafted an album that simultaneously recalls why longtime fans have ferociously loved them for decades while also being their most sophisticated effort to date.

What a treat I have for all you lovers of music! The great singer-songwriter Jill Andrews joined me for a wonderful conversation about life, music and family. With a new record in hand entitled Modern Age released this past August, Jill shared stories about her first beginnings in music, the amazing collaborators that inspired her career, a look back over her catalogue, and what the future holds. Jill is an inspiring person, with amazing thoughts on her career and some solid advice for beginning musicians. Be sure to check her out on the road in the US and Europe in the near future. Quinn Christopherson • Thanks • 2022
Quinn Christopherson is thrilled to announce he’ll be joining The Wild Hearts Tour kicking off next month, opening for Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker for the national run of shows. All dates are listed below including the previously announced dates with Courtney Barnett and Lucy Dacus as part of Barnett’s “Here And There” festival.
The news is perfectly timed with the announcement of his highly anticipated Bullion produced debut album, Write Your Name In Pink, to be released by Play It Again Sam Records / PIAS on September 16th. It’s a groundbreaking record and a masterclass in songwriting and storytelling alike.
In Quinn's words; “‘Write Your Name in Pink’ comes from reflection, sifting through experiences— good and bad. I have found empathy for myself and those in my life. This record is a celebration of youth, an exercise in forgiveness, and an expression of gratitude to have made it this far."

LUMBEROB • FRIEDLEGGINGS • 2022
"It’s not unusual for Lumberob to leave his audience, be they newbies or experienced Lumberobbers, just about vibrating with awe. His is an innovative energy from every critical angle and once exposed you’re not only not likely to forget it but instead carry it with you forevermore, a sort of force-field second skin you’ll never shed."

Kevin Devine • "How Can I Help You?" • 2022
"How Can I Help You?" –a thoughtful, drum-backed track, where Devine sensitively asks throughout, "How can I help you push through yourself to me? / How I can help you tell me what you need?" The track closes with this same soft, loving energy as Devine fondly declares, "When I see you gates unguarded / Aphrodite / evidence of God, I’m free inside." Gently knocking at the door of a heart's gilded cage, Devine knows what's possible with the key unlocked; he's been inside the castle of love, covered in roses and liberated -- enlightenment that was fleeting and yet everlasting.

Closing-out a benchmark year for the band, the alt/folk three-piece have teamed-up with celebrated Australian director Matthew Thorne on a gripping visual narrative to accompany their latest single “Thumbs Up”.
Filmed in an ex-coal mining commuter settlement in the heart of the Rhondda Valley of South Wales, the video follows the story of a young man and his struggles with, and love affairs with, small town life.

Yot Club • Alive • 2021
Ryan’s lo-fi indie pop project Yot Club stems from a diverse array of influences, and offers a unique and recognizable brand of vibrant, sunny pop rock. Since 2019, Yot Club has released three EPs and more than thirty tracks. Taking a simplified approach to recording, intentionally working within his restrictions of owning one microphone, Ryan boosts his creativity.
"Combining elements of lo-fi with retro sunny-pop, the artist intricately carves out his own lane of vibrant bedroom-pop while riding adding in touches of hip-hop and indie."
- Wonderland
"The minimalistic yet carefully layered production taps into a hazy, warm vibe that comforts right from the first notes of guitars and synths."

"'Alive' is a perfect example of how the world works, it’s not all black and white, and there can be fun in boring and artificial suburbs."
- MXDWN
"A lo-fi indie pop tune packed with clean, dreamy guitar riffs and hazy vocals."

Hannah Georgas • That Emotion • 2020
Hannah met Aaron around the release of her Polaris Prize-nominated album For Evelyn and they began working together in early 2018 in a process that ran through the first half of 2019, before she spent the back half of the year touring as a member of The National in support of their album I Am Easy To Find. It's a really wonderful partnership, as Hannah's a great songwriter with an effortless sense of melody and the production is consistently elegant and interesting, particularly in the way it subverts the pop structures of the arrangements with an unusual blend of textures, which is beautifully encapsulated on this first single.
