"Memories Overlooked: A Tribute To The Caretaker", is a collaborative effort of over 90 artists, paying tribute to the visionary works of Leyland Kirby -- in particular his Caretaker project, a long-running ambient affair exploring memory, nostalgia, and more recently, the effects of dementia. In proper fashion, this compilation was diagnosed with having early onset dementia, and is mixed and arranged in accordance with the advancement of the disease. Every passing hour, to quote Mr. Kirby in regards to his 'Everywhere At The End Of Time' series, "will reveal new points of progression, loss and disintegration. Progressively falling further and further towards the abyss of complete memory loss and nothingness."
BREEZE started as a few sketches in the notebook of songwriter, producer, and engineer Josh Korody (BELIEFS / Elk). Their dream-pop sound took form soon after with collaborators and friends Kyle Connolly (Elk) and Shawn Dell (Great Bloomers) joining the band.

Classified as "punk" but oh so much more… the melodies are infectious
Learn about history and get an earful of wonderful folk music with a twist.
When I think of emo, this album gets me emotional.
I like DYI music - this was one of my favs of 2017

Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett seem like natural creative partners, in theory. Both are troubadours prone to electric guitar freakouts, they’re each associated with the term “slacker” despite enviable productivity, and they find meaning in the mundane. Vile is the one you go to for heady vibes, but he has subtly drifted toward wry storytelling. Barnett, the one you go to for the stories and the wryness, has gravitated toward garage-rock and grunge styles more in Vile’s wheelhouse.

If you ever hear that gunshot, you may think 'bout what you do but you don't got
Say a prayer, think of mother, I am a rock
If you ever hear that sound now
If the door gets kicked in here, they come now
Think of others, be their cover
I am what they're not

Since 2009 Lullabier (alias Andrea Vascellari) amalgamates his slowcore, dream-pop and alt-folk influences with the tradition of Italian songwriting, sharing the stage with international artists such as Low, Spain, and Matt Elliott.
Today, without sleigh and flying reindeers, he brings his Christmas present called 2512, a brief but intense EP made also in collaboration with Faro and Brian John Mitchell (Remora, Small Life Form), in which original tunes are mixed with reworks of classics such as Stille Nacht and Just Like Christmas.

For my true love
And I know she's there
Just carry on, just carry on
I'll find you
And it won't be long
Just hold on, just hold on
So I'm trying
A better man
But the work goes, yes the work goes on
When all this is washed away
Some will remain
Full of hope in the pouring rain
And I'll see you there
With wet shoes and wet hair
And when the last day is done
We'll make it
You know we will
We'll be holding hands
"What if this was the last Christmas ever? Would you hide in your room or sing along? If this was the last Christmas ever what would you say to the people you love?"
The Charity Compilation 2017 brings together some of the finest people in Nashville, each of us pushing for change in our own specialized ways, but all of us growing together. It is our fervent hope that this album brings you joy through the end of the year and beyond, and that our three-to-five minute labors of love may serve as a reminder that not only are we still here, but - most importantly - that we are still here together.

Four years after shrugging his way into the hip-hop conversation with the gauzy Unknown Death 2002, Jonatan Leandoer Håstad might be the most unsung young influencer in all of contemporary hip-hop. Though the connecting lines are arguably more dotted and circuitous than solid and straight, the emo wave of SoundCloud rap that brought us the likes of Lil Peep and Trippie Redd owes a certain spiritual debt to the Sad Boys movement. While Yung Lean and his like-minded cabal never quite blew up on Billboard, the miasmatic spread of this current, oft-Floridian sound into the charting mainstream nonetheless smells of his groundwork if not his actual handiwork. Out in the Storm, Katie Crutchfield’s fourth album as Waxahatchee and the follow-up to her Merge debut Ivy Tripp, is the blazing result of a woman reawakened. Her most autobiographical and honest album to date, Out in the Storm is a self-reflective anchor in the story of both her songwriting and her life.
Comprising a formidable clutch of songs, 2017’s Party sees Harding shape-shift through a raft of roles: chanteuse, folk singer and balladeer - all executed with her twisted touch of humour, hubris and quiet horror. In other words, she’s having a good time. Stretching her limbs with playful cunning and steely fervor; every note, word and arrangement posed with intellect and inventiveness

Oh getting old sucks!
Oh yeah, everything is terrible when buying marijuana makes you feel like a criminal / When your new friends take a joke too literal, making you feel like the bad guy / Oh, where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? / Oh yeah, all hope abandoned not young enough to be your companion / Not old enough to be your guide, what a cliche time to try / Oh, where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over?/ Where are we gonna go now that our twenties are over? / Everyone's asking me over and over. / The decade taken hostage by my own guilty conscience / When you gonna quit this nonsense, everyone's asking me over and over / But I don’t mind tellin’ lies. / So oh yeah, let's go to Vegas, put it all on black and get married by Elvis / If we wake up broke we’ll be fine, we’ll get rich in another lifetime. / Like tension you can cut with a knife, like a wedding ring that never fit right / Like a car alarm that won’t stop howling, a decade lost in the motions / To romance and cheap whiskey, the subtle sound of a fleeting feeling / Like four chords that don’t love you no more, in a motel room / In a sleeping bag on the floor, is it wrong to say that things can change?
Dominique Powell Bleeder's has an electric yet joyful energy. Lyrics that can tap into any woman's rage alongside a killer persona and presence by the lead singer paired with a large and unique soundscape made an unforgettable show

I hope to be around
The day we grasp in truth
The nature of mind
Befriending time, in truth
In a midway I stand where many stood
Only to come home again
Walking through these streets I know too well
But my thoughts stray away
I dream of my future
Remote from time bounds
Without any end
TONYA HARDING, MY STAR
by Sufjan Stevens
I’ve been trying to write a Tonya Harding song since I first saw her skate at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1991. She’s a complicated subject for a song partly because the hard facts of her life are so strange, disputable, heroic, unprecedented, and indelibly American. She was one of the greatest figure skaters of her time, and the first American woman to perform a triple axle in an international competition.
