The songs within the album are recorded sometimes with a lack of production, featuring canned beats, and simple electronic instrumentation.
Some records suffer from settings like this, but "Move, Lord" rises above it's humble means and captures a unique sound. Songs seem to jam along smoothly, and are always likeable. The non-electronic instruments are added to tracks along with samples and intimate vocals with eclectic lyrics, creating a heady mix.
At times the vocals seem to be little above a whisper, making them difficult to understand in the majority of the album, but the record seems to be centered more around creating an ambient and relaxing world than focusing on words too much. This album is best suited as music to chill out to, at the end of a long hard day.
