Fleece • Do U Mind? (Leave the Light On) • 2021
“Do U Mind? (Leave the Light On)” is about temporary love. A commentary on Grindr and hookup culture, presented on a beautiful bed of reverb and indie pop goodness. Discussing, songwriter/vocalist Matt Rogers stated, "It's about meeting up with someone and pretending like you're in love for the night, even though you both know you're not. It's a little wink to all the people out there who feel the same way, and want to feel that sense of belonging for just a moment. I feel like hookup culture has made it really hard to be vulnerable with each-other. This song is my attempt at explaining the intersection of love, isolation, and frustration that apps like Grindr make me feel."

TV Girl - Who Really Cares - 2016
On the surface, TV Girl is a sunny, throwback splash of ‘60s French pop and southern California soul. Yet, under that shiny veneer lays a dark heart, beating with sharp wit and cynical alienation, and the music is all the more alluring for it.
TV Girl was formed in 2010 by Brad Petering as an outlet to blend the love of Spector-esque girl-group pop with an emerging interest in hip-hop. Featuring shimmering vocals and sampled beats, the self-titled debut EP of the same year turned heads online immediately; the group’s lush vintage rhythms and timeless pop hooks were even making waves on the BBC. Soon after, Jason Wyman joined the band and they continued to release increasingly popular EPs and mixtapes between tours.

The Widest Smiling Faces - Sin Waves - 2014
I woke in slow sun with barely a light on my hair and a full glass of milk it would be better to wash the grime off my silly little body and then rub my way into jeans and eat my cereal making sure it gets extra soggy and sunlight so all the sugar and sweet fills the inside of the milk
Colors dripping in my mouth and my tongue and my throat and smelling like apples and papier mache and smelling like skin and yogurt and I feel like a hundred boats and i feel like a ghost and a jellyfish in the salt water of a plastic bag

national screen service - feathering - 2014
Imagine working as cabin crew on a long haul flight. The only passengers are Steve Reich and Grouper. For some reason you're all crammed inside the cockpit with your ears pressed against the door, trying desperately to hear Steve and Liz playing together over the woozy swirl of the engines. That is the sound of National Screen Service, the fuzz drone project of Mick Harrison, one time bass player in schizoid hypno band Prolapse.
