Bat Manors - Them Savages/Bat Manors - 2014
Bat Manors is a folk-core band based in Provo, Utah.
We started a band. Then half the band quit. We're still a band tho. just different.

trappist after land - Champion Red Earth - 2014
Trappist Afterland make spirit music for the dispossesed .They explore psychedelia, ritualism and chanting amidst folk songs..
I'm really enjoying the rustic authenticity from this Australian duo.
April Walk About - 2014
It is very early spring in the north; I wanted to try out my new tablet's camera and put up reminders that there is no going backwards, warmth is on the way, and I have proof; look spring!

Billy Moon - Young Adult. - 2014
The title: "Young Adult" is pretty simple.
I've just graduated from University and now I have to be a grown-up.
This new EP is so much better than any of my previous groups.
They all seemed to fall apart because guys were more interested in being personal trainers than being in a band.
Less squats, more rock.
First single Video Girls is a love/hate song about porn.
My drummer is better than your drummer.
I'm not as good talking about myself as I used to be.
Really fun release... Check it out!

Nothing But Hope And Passion - Nothing But… Spring - 2014
‘When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. daysdeaf - When Colour Lost Light - 2014
Some music just stays with you and leaves you deaf for days...
The process involved using a ten-gallon fish tank and mixture of acrylic inks, food dye, and pigment. We explored the emotion and tone of the song through a series of experiments by mixing these materials.
Arkells - Never Thought That This Would Happen - 2014
They wrote the record in our hometown of Hamilton, with a workmanlike approach. Their workshop was a 150-year-old building: a former spice factory, turned gay nightclub, turned abandoned building. The room isn't acoustically primed, but that forced the band to keep the essentials, lock into the grooves, and let the natural reverb take the tunes into cinematic places.
"Never Thought This Would Happen" was inspired by Hillside. Under the sun, there's live music, workshops and summer dresses flowing in the wind. Beneath the moonlight, there's drinking, dancing, and campfire sing-a-longs. This song takes place after all of that, sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
VARSITY - Thanks For Nothing - 2014
VARSITY submitted a year back and I loved their garage rock slacker ass approach to making songs; I just got their newest release and it again is solid. It has touches of Pavement, Throwing Muses, all over it... Great submission, Thanks.
Home Alone - There's A Light Coming Through - 2014
Slightly spooky space gaze music coming out of TO, Canada... It's nice to listen to reflective tunes on a day where the air is calm, light is hazy and the day can just go on forever.
Wonderful release.

Cloud Cult - When Water Comes to Life - 2008
An Unofficial video, but whatever! Outstanding Song...
And when the angels come
They'll cut you down the middle
To see if you're still there.
To see if you're still there.
And underneath your ribs
They'll find a heart-shaped locket,
An old photograph
Of you in Daddy's arms.
And then they'll sow you closed
And give you back to the water
From where we're all born
From where we're all born
And you'll feed the ghosts
And you'll feed the living
You will be a stranger
And you'll be a friend
You'll be the leper
You'll be the healer
You'll be the hero
And the tragedy
And when they sow you closed
They'll give you back to the water
From where we're all born
From where we're all born
When they burn your body
All that's left is sand crystals
Two tiny handfuls
All the rest is water, water, water
All you need to know
Is you are born of water
You are made of water
You are merely water, water, water
All you need to know
Is you are born of water
You are made of water
You are merely water, water, water

Nat Posey - Have A Good Day, Buddy! - 2013
A few great tracks; a bit heavy on the experimental side at times, still worth a listen for traditional folk enthusiast.
Whistle Me a Tune - 2014
I have been collecting songs that have the simplest of instruments, our lips! So finally, I have assembled a compilation album of some of the tunes that make me smile.
Enjoy.

Come back to me Emily I cannot cope
You say its a nightmare, its some sort of joke
I know you're okay, but I'm finding it tough
If life's without you, hell then life's not enough
Come back to me Emily I'm in a rut
I know you've moved on and forgot every part
Forever I loved you, you're everything still
You know I will love, forever I will
Remember when I used to make you happy
Remember when you used to say
That you'll love me through until your dying day
come back to me Emily, life is a mess
Now I am in love, I won't settle for less
I know that you're gone, you're looking for more
So I'll pray that you'll find that you had it before
Well I know we had problems, but everyone does
And it isn't a reason to leave me because
Forever I'm lost with no where else to look
But then I'm just a chapter in Emily's book
Remember when I used to make her happy
Remember when she used to say
That she'll love me through until her dying day
Well I never knew a heart could be so sore
But then again I never loved like this before
Remember when I used to make you happy
Remember when you used to say
That you'll love me through until your dying day
Remember when I used to make you happy
Remember when you could not be
Too long on your own away from me
Oh if only

Feeling very overwhelmed by this band, in particular with their latest release. Genuine heart wrenching toil and trouble that keeps it on heavy rotation in my corners.
You're coming off kinda contrived and pretentious.
You're not saying anything we haven't heard before.
You're caught up in an argument.
Oh, oh you're so lost in modern art.
You will lose it all.
And you will find again.
Don't lose touch.
Don't lose touch.
S.O.S. texted from a cell phone?
Please tell me I'm not the only one,
that thinks we're taking ourselves too seriously,
Just a little too enamored with inflated self-purpose.
Talk is cheap.
And it doesn't mean much.
Don't lose touch.
Don't lose touch.
I'm losing touch.
I'm losing touch.
Constant entertainment for our restless minds.
Constant stimulation for epic appetites.
Is there something wrong with these songs?
Maybe there's something wrong with the audience.
Manipulation in rock music, fucking nausea.
I'm losing touch.
I'm losing touch, and it's obvious.
Signs of Spring
Went for a walk with the boys at dusk tonight and there were definite signs of warmer times just over the mountains; spring cold to boot.
