Magic Castles are back with new album ‘Realized’, a set of lush psych-rock reveries from Minneapolis songwriter Jason Edmonds, blending late-60s folk-rock warmth with shoegaze shimmer. Newly signed to Fuzz Club, ‘Realized’ takes Magic Castles’ music to a newfound level of clarity, whilst still retaining that same, long-harboured analogue warmth only made possible through an array of vintage amps, guitars and transistor organs. Released April 24th 2026, ‘Realized’ consists of nine dreamlike, melody-led trips that unfold in waves. Equal parts hazy nostalgia and widescreen modern psychedelia, centring dreamy, heavily-layered arrangements and floating vocal harmonies.

The Ivies • Ego • 2023
Wielding its multifaceted influences like a Swiss army knife, The Ivies’ debut EP
is ‘more prog than most psych bands, more psych than most prog bands’ –
cementing them as unique in their musical execution. Crescendoing into
existence, the trio humbly show off their skills as writers, with intricate guitar
work and melodies that echo both The Beatles and Black Country, New Road.
The band explores more sonic possibilities than ever before while the songs stay,
at their core, genuinely great. Tracked over four days at Liverpool’s Material
Studios, the record sets elements of Shakespeare and Dostoevsky to a progressive and layered instrumentation, culminating in an apocalyptic finish, after tales of
helplessness, jealousy and anxiety.

The Peacers "Irish Suit" 2021
Lo-fi psych veteran Mike Donovan’s current project the Peacers will return this March with a new album called Blexxed Rec. It’s Donovan’s first LP since 2018’s solo effort How To Get Your Record Played In Shops and the first Peacers joint since 2017’s Introducing The Crimsmen (though last year Drag City also released a demo collection from his former project Sic Alps).

POPULATION II • À la Ô Terre • 2020
The first album by Montreal psychedelic explorers Population II sounds like transmissions from various locales in outer space, the trio recording and transmitting the drifting nothingness of endless expanses punctuated by the impact of comets, the blinding flash of exploding stars, and the beauty of distant galaxies. Singing drummer Pierre-Luc Gratton, guitarist/organist Tristan Lacombe, and bassist Sébastien Provençal are well versed in all forms of psychedelia, and it wouldn’t be surprising to find out they had impressive collections of jazz and prog records at home too.

Elephant Stone • We Cry For Harmonia • 2020
"If one were to qualify the work of Elephant Stone, the first adjective would undoubtedly be "experimental". The Montreal band is already on its fourth album, with the release of Ship of Fools. Yet the audacity and talent of these three Canadian boys continues to amaze us." ★★★★
- Rolling Stone France
Debuting a decade ago, the Polaris Music Prize-nominated psych-pop creation of Rishi Dhir (vox, bass, sitar) and long-time collaborators Miles Dupire (drums) have released five critically-acclaimed albums and toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. As a highly-regarded sitar player, Dhir has also collaborated with indie-rock icons (Beck) and legendary cult bands (The Brian Jonestown Massacre).

Chatham Rise - Meadowsweet - 2018
A distinctive presentation of lucid dreaming delivered with psychedelic splendor, defining a journey that while earthbound on this outing, will have listeners returning again and again for these nocturnal slumbers where sound is made up of colours, and the colours go on about defining and redefining an organic pastoral reflection that washes and ebbs effortlessly, filled with bewildering slow motion luscious intoxication. - Jenell Kesler

Grimm Grimm - Cliffhanger - 2018
At its most abstract Cliffhanger is a sonic soundscape evocative of the soundtrack music of a 1960's John Frankenheimer thriller, these are set in contrast with touching and expansive minimal acoustic ballads included here. Still Smiling', 'Final World War' and Yamanoha's cover of The Misfit’s 'Hybrid Movement' are highlights on an LP which is both nostalgic and contemporary in equal measure.

Inspired by the sounds, visuals, and animals of a half-century's worth of travel and nature documentaries, Flowering Jungle acts as a companion piece to exploring new and exotic landscapes, wildlife, and communities. The album's artwork mirrors this concept by featuring portraits of jungle birds in flower-adorned 'nests' overtop an abstracted flag of The Flowering Jungle

of Montreal - Innocence Reaches - 2016
The most immediate surprise is the sound. Innocence Reaches is touched by contemporary electronica, indie pop, and EDM. For the first time in his career, Barnes tuned into now. "Forever I've been detached from current music," he says. "I got into this bubble of only being in some other time period. I came up picking apart the Beach Boys, The Beatles, and symphonic pieces. But last year, I was hearing Jack Ü, Chairlift, Arca, and others, thinking about low end and sound collage. It was an extra layer to geek out on."
