Debbiah • The Villain • 2020

Born in Brazil and living in the United States, she's already boasting streams in the hundreds of thousands online for collaborations. Debbiah, as a singer, songwriter and pianist, has been making a name for herself in recent years for her dark, alt-pop anthems. She’s influenced by artists like Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse and Billie Eilish; all the way to heavier acts like Marylin Manson, Black Sabbath and Korn. Her inspirations shine through, in a style that is boldly dramatic, yet still smoothly intoxicating to the ears. Debbiah is currently working on her first EP, which will be self-released.

Sam Miller • "The Stage of Aging" • 2019

Sam Miller is a man of unique talents. A rare musical soul who thrives in our modern day of synthesizers and microchips, but who would be equally content playing Bach fugues in a cathedral filled with orangutans. His musical output is driven by curiosity and exploration, noticeably lacking the self-aggrandizing spirit of so much pop music.

Shayfer James - Mercy Down - 2019

Shayfer James art for new EP 'Hope And A Hand Grenade'

Hope And A Hand Grenade comes as Shayfer James' seventh studio release, showcasing his ongoing growth as a singer-songwriter. His music provides a unique blend of catchy unconventionality; bright pop melodies are interwoven with gothic-tinged lyrics and emotive vocals, all delivered with a splash of whiskey humor, smart quip, and air of dark charm. Applauded for his theatrical live performances, James keeps audiences on their feet, with a hint of mystery and surprise.

Cigarettes After Sex - Crush - 2018

I wanna line my walls with photographs you sent
Of you lying in your swimsuit on the bed
Can’t live without your love inside me now
I’ll find a way to slip into your skin somehow

I wanna fuck your love slow
Catch my heart, go swim
Feel your lips crush
Hold you here my loveliest friend

I love to watch you when you’re trying on your clothes
& now you’re all I think about when I’m alone
Can’t wait to feel your love inside me now
We’ll have a drink or two & we’ll go to your house...

"The airy melody of the love song is soft yet strong, stringing together the messages of pain and memories of past relationships. With each lyric, the soft-spoken music group brings you back to that first moment of falling in love and the aftermath that follows behind it."
- Billboard

"Tender like your lover's hand wrapped around your ankle as he naps next to you on the couch; sad like that last fuck when you both know it's over; smutty because the private language between two is a code that keeps outsiders in the dark."
- Noisey

Spartan Jet-Plex - Amygdala Sky - 2017

Sean Rice Beautiful and timely - “The world is filled with people who are no longer needed. And who try to make slaves of all of us. And they have their music and we have ours. Theirs, the wasted songs of a superstitious nightmare. And without their music and ideological miscarriages to compare our songs of freedom to, we'd not have any opposite to compare music with --- and like the drifting wind, hitting against no obstacle, we'd never know its speed, its power....” LOVE TRUMP HATE

FINDLAY - Forgotten Pleasures - 2017

Findlay runs and jumps across genres. She revisits 90s grunge, flies up into the skies of shoegaze and creates lightning with hip-hop, before landing in a dream world of garage pop. She loves Motown artists, psychedelic rock, blues and well as hip-hop, she creates electronic soundscapes drawing from all styles to mix and create textures filled with aspiration. She composes alone, mostly on guitar, sometimes on piano, or turns her voice and words into drum rhythms to serve as a canvas, always on the lookout for strange sounds and new distortions, carried by her addictive choruses.

S T F U - What We Want - 2016

Alternative electronic maverick producer Dean Garcia, the musical mastermind behind seminal alternative rock band Curve and electronic dream pop duo SPC ECO, has joined forces with Preston Maddox of post-punk noise-rock band Bloody Knives in a new project, called S T F U.

Their debut LP ‘What We Want’, slated for release on July 29, is laced with unfolding hypnotic loops that gradually progress to uptempo electronics, trip-hop laden beats, lush noise entwined with shimmering synths, and Maddox’s hazy trance-like vocals.

Tom Woodward - music for clowns - 2016

Resolutely heralding seemingly sporadic artists such as Bernard Parmegiani, Bill Callahan and John Fahey as stylistic icons, Woodward worked the album in between epic busking shifts across the east coast of Australia.  Various tracks were recorded on a zoom h1 mic in parks, abandoned buses and urban alleyways.  This improvised working style makes for a collection of resourcefully produced songs crafted out of the vagaries of his vagabond life - engines make melodies, pots and pans provide grooves.  On songs such as the Beatles-esque opener, Sad Nonsense, a choir of his own hastily recorded vocal harmonies in a public disabled bathroom provides a triumphant melancholia.  An unrelenting loner and stylistic enigma, Woodward proves with this latest - his ninth full length album - that his unapologetically prolific output is taking him further toward a weird and phantasmagorical frontier of his own devising.
