Freya Beer’s upcoming single, ‘Dear sweet Rosie’ was recorded early this year in Manchester. The song draws from a number of literary influences including Allen Ginsberg’s ‘An Asphodel’ and Anna Sewell’s ‘Black Beauty’.
Alongside Freya’s thick guitar riff and tender vocals, I Am Kloot drummer Andy Hargreaves adapts a Led Zeppelin-esque drumming style to the song which creates a non-toppling wall of sound.

My 2015 - Say Hi - Bleeders Digest
If we’ve learned anything from the fact that teen paranormal romance is now a legit genre of modern literature, it’s that we love relating to the unknown. Or, more specifically, the undead. Eric Elbogen, a.k.a. Say Hi has been keen to this fact since the summer of 2006, when dropped Say Hi’s breakthrough LP Impeccable Blahs. Not only is the record a well-oiled machine of synth-pop magnificence that, with its deceptively addictive nature alone, would make you consider an occult presence surrounding it – it’s also 100% lyrically confined in the world of vampires. After four more LPs and a soundtrack album, Say Hi has returned to this formidable world to give the album a sequel: Bleeders Digest. The only thing better than the pun of its namesake is the content therein. Eric continues to shine as one of Barsuk’s most consistent stars, with another record of pitch perfect synth pop excellence and an extended vampiric metaphor that gives us a wonderful parallel on the intentionally inward lives we oft find ourselves leading. kexp
The album’s best work lies – as Say Hi’s work often does – in its love songs. For starters, both “Lover’s Lane (Smitten With Doom)” and “Galaxies Will Be Born” have some serious television potential. Both are excellent songs about the thrills and the chills of love with incredible sing-a-long hooks and memorable lyrics.

Angus & Julia Stone - Heart Beats Slow - 2014
It’s been a gruelling four years since this adored brother/sister duo released their chart-topping sophomore record, Down The Way. At long-last, the two-piece have unveiled a brand-spanking new track entitled ‘Heart Beats Slow’, and it’s everything you want it to be.
The track is vintage Stones, the siblings merging their distinct vocals together to create their one of a kind gorgeous harmony that we’ve been missing for so damn long.
Sonically, ‘Heart Beats Slow’ is a bit more of a foot-stomping indie track, leaving behind their traditional melancholy laced folk sounds.
This is the first release from the pair’s vastly anticipated third record that has been produced by none other than the larger the life man behind the mixers, Rick Rubin.
Their self-titled record is out August 1, with a Splendour In The Grass performance locked-in just before this release date – you’re sure to witness some fresh Angus and Julia.
