Walk Home Drunk, Comité balnéaire • Split Screen EP • 2023

The Split Screen EP emerged from a mutual encouragement between two Toulouse-based musicians who, when not playing together in the same bands (slowcore duo Docks and indie-punk quartet No Drama), release their music under the monikers Walk Home Drunk and Comité balnéaire. There are therefore many connections running through these two projects, especially since all the material for the EP was recorded in the same apartment using the same equipment and was refined in a spirit of DIY and mutual help. The split will be co-released in the UK and in France through labels Safe Suburban Home (York) and Hidden Bay Records (Toulouse), mirroring both languages sung on the EP.

The Slow Sound • Elora • 2021

website

The recording project of Ezekiel Rudick and Kendall Sallay-Milotz, The Slow Sound is self-described “Pacific Northwest Gloom Pop” outfit formed over a mutual appreciation of melancholic music. Through a blended approach of synths and organic drums, the pair conjure richly haunting soundscapes which beckon the listener inside. A sound which undoubtedly lives up to gloom label, yet does so with a lush sonic palette and narrative-driven lyricism.

Venus Furs • Living in Constant • 2020

“Living in Constant” is centered around a tone-setting, hypnotically repetitive bassline, with doubled guitar riffs building into a trippy crescendo, while lyrically describing the final days of a disgraced priest.

In The Valley Below • "Elephant" • 2019

Discussing the video, Angela Gail and Jeffrey Jacob, stated, “For the video we just wanted to go to a great place. We love Mexico and we hadn't spent much time in Mexico City, so we decided to do it there. We brought some giant inflatable elephants and drove in a van. We turned on the camera in the places we liked. The police drove us away from some places, but most of them were all curious. It was quite magical. We are thrilled to be able to return to Mexico City, to perform at one of the best festivals in the world.”

Portland • Killer's Mind • 2019

Portland is the creative brainchild of musician and songwriter Jente Pironet. Sometime during the misty autumn of 2015, Jente collected a huge amount of song material, without a specific end purpose. Over the years, the songs were refreshed, adapted, rewritten and eventually gathered together and poured into a new creative receptacle by the name of Portland, a nod to the home of the late Elliot Smith.

Best of 2018 - BEACH HOUSE – "DRUNK IN LA"

“The immediate standout from Beach House’s magnificent 7 is “Drunk In LA,” a showstopper made stronger by everything else around it. The stuttering opening beat that opens the song blossoms into one of the duo’s most staggering songs yet.”

Can't help seeking corners
Of dark and deadend roads
Where the drinks keep pouring down
And the candles keep me warm
Isolation tender
Something fragile coming soon
Skinny angels making eyes at cameras
Perched in every room
