Sïan Able - Healing Waves - 2019

Image may contain: text

Barbarisms - Moaning Teresa & A Wash Of Teeth And Eyes - 2019

‘The breezy looseness of Built to Spill’s earliest releases, Herman Dune’s ingeniousness, or the late St. Thomas’ cracked folk… Nicholas Faraone’s delivery suggests we might expect intimate confessionals in the manner of Bill Callaghan.’ UNCUT

‘Pitched somewhere between the playful jangle of Jeffrey Lewis and the off-kilter wisdom of Guided By Voices…a captivating slice of lo-fi wonder that shines like a gem shimmering in a pool of darkness.” LOUD & QUIET

‘Barbarisms is a fresh garage wind on mostly electronic waters in Södermalm.’ NOISEY

The Jins - She Said - 2019

We teamed up with Dave Genn from 54-40 to help us produce and record Death Wish, which was an amazing experience because I grew up hearing Matthew Good Band on the radio and Big Shiny Tunes compilations. It was really surreal to be introduced into a world that I felt was so intangible as a kid. Mike Fraser helmed the mixing duties, and he did an amazing job polishing the tracks. It was a total pleasure to meet and work with these legends.

Chelou - Out Of Sight - 2019

"Chelou, a purveyor of loopy guitars and entrancing melodies, has been releasing buzzy singles and EPs since 2014, and is gearing up to release his debut full length in 2019."
- Billboard

"With over 30 million total streams to date across all major platforms, over 60k Vevo subscribers and 98k monthly listeners on Spotify, Chelou is a highly talented musician creating some incredible music right now. He is with a doubt an up-and-coming force in the indie/alt scene to watch out for. "
- Earmilk

"It’s someone that I’m really excited about, a young man from Camden, it’s Chelou"
- Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1

London-based artist, Chelou, shares his new single "She Rock I Roll" off his forthcoming debut album, Out Of Sight. They say anticipation is half the pleasure, and in the case of Chelou, it’s been a steady yet unhurried build up to his first full length. The result is an intoxicating set of folk-blues beats and Chelou’s hauntingly vocal.

I Am A Rocketship - Mind Grafitti - 2019

"This is bound to please fans of The Kills, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The White Stripes, Evanescence, and the Ting Tings. That’s one zinger of a list of comparable bands, yet the I Am A Rocketship sits perfectly amidst them. This is catchy as hell, seductively drawing you in and leaving you hanging on every note right to the last fading guitar" – Big Takeover Magazine

"A unique combination of slow harmony and sonic dissonance... a blend pleasing to the ears and compelling to the heart. ‘Face Off’ is both a lack of banality and a slow burn into the senses that slowly boils over with the confidence of musical experience like a poet unconsciously building to the stanza. Brilliant" – Jammerzine

"Solid mix of cool Scandinavian vocals, pop hooks and unique take on their musical approach... a worthy listen for fans of The Kills, Curve, Portishead and Sneaker Pimps. This is a quite a welcome discovery to start of 2019" – Louder Than War

Threatmantics - First Things - 2019

Threatmantics attempt to crowbar as much into rock and roll as possible. Veering wildly from heartbroken folk, to balls-out rock, to spine-crushing metal, to good-time pop; barely held together by very fine thread and pretty ribbons, they play music that sounds as much like the band they wish they were as possible. Whether they will survive the pits and troughs remains to be seen, but it’s a special thing to be able to soundtrack your own adventure.

Insomniac Bears - Passing Trains - 2019

Featuring members of Team Me, the band’s ambitious arrangements combine ferocious guitars and gleaming melodies that pierce through psychedelic backdrops.

As the band explains, the new single is “about learning how to find your place and carve out a space of security in a world that offers only perpetual instability. The lyrics map out the negative flipside of achieving independence.”

The resulting track is uplifting indie pop that’s the soundtrack to having a little cry, drying your eyes and picking yourself up again. Clash Magazine have said “the track retains a certain mystery, with its dappled melodies moving between opaque pop and lush psychedelia. Lyrically the song muses on loneliness, but does so in a wonderfully beautiful way.”

Auld - Need Her Still - 2019

Auld - Alilless (cover).jpg

"A gorgeous record. It is pop music at its finest... you may be reminded of the glory days of Simple Minds and U2... framing these stories through the lens of indie pop, alternative rock occasionally, and often on the wings of electronic pop" – The Noise Journal

"Embracing artists that tout a unique sound without gravitating away from captivating melodies and aesthetics rings true in his own project... Very fine songwriting and production from the promising Auld" – Obscure Sound

“Auld brings a fresh sense combining modern pop-rock and electronica with sweeping elements of 80s romantics like Spandau Ballet and Ultravox, and more modern parallels such as Arcade Fire” – The Record Stache

"A fusion of rich power pop and indie rock, packed with a potent dose of synth-based melodicism... Alilless is restlessly kinetic track that sparkles with various electronic bits and clattering percussion and lopes along with a bouncy bass line" – The Big Takeover

PORCUPINE "Lifetime" - 2019

"Veteran Minneapolis indie rock band Porcupine now includes mustachioed chef and onetime Hüsker Dü bass-player Greg Norton." -Brooklyn Vegan

"an EP filled with dreamy melodies riding over pounding drums and fuzzed-out guitar... While his work with Porcupine is distinct from Norton’s previous power trio, they pay homage to Norton’s Hüsker Dü past." -BreakThruRadio

"Minneapolis band Porcupine features Greg Norton of legendary punk band Hüsker Dü. What You’ve Heard Isn’t Real even includes a cover of a Grant Hart written Husker song, “Standing By The Sea.” -New Noise Magazine

"the Minneapolis-based trio effectively channels a variety of ’80s alt-rock genres, primarily post-punk and new wave, with a few ’70s-inspired riffs interspersed here and there to increase the record’s catchiness." -MXDWN

GA-20 - Naggin' On My Mind with Charlie Musselwhite & Luther Dickinson - 2019

GA-20 was formed by friends Pat Faherty and Matthew Stubbs in Boston, MA in 2018. The project was born out of their mutual love of heavy traditional Blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll of the late '50s and early '60s. Faherty and Stubbs bonded over legendary artists like Lazy Lester, J.B. Lenoir, Earl Hooker, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Junior Wells. Feeling a void in current music, the duo have set out to write, record and perform a modern version of this beloved art form. Live, GA-20 is a trio of 2 guitars, vocals and drums. Raw, passionate and honest performance, both on stage and in the studio, is the only goal.

Field Medic - "henna tattoo" - 2019

The Line of Best Fit called "henna tatto" "disarmingly honest" while Paste Magazine said, "...his anxious infatuation is presented as a passing, unadorned outpouring, conflicting thoughts and emotions rushed to paper, then tape, using only the implements Patrick had at hand."
