My 2015 - Said the Gramophone songs of 2015
These are (some) 100 favourite songs of 2015: songs I love more than fruitbowls, commas and national parks.
I follow just one arbitrary rule: that no primary artist may appear twice.

Spin's Top 101 Songs of 2014
It's been as wide-open a race for our favorite songs of the year as any 12-month period we can remember; without one specific artist or movement really putting their imprint on the year, just about anyone could've claimed for the top spot. Hence, our list of the 101 Best Songs of 2014 includes just about everything; our top 20 alone contains a pair of former child actresses, a band three decades deep into their career, an icon who's been dead for five years, and an artist that doesn't technically exist by some definitions.
Regardless of the improbability of some of the performers involved, though, the songs themselves were as strong as ever — songs that made us go up, turn down, and swing from the chandel-li-iiiiiieeer. Close your eyes, and let's start counting.
Here are a few of my highlights from the list - a lot of songs, many that meeh, whatever!
See the full list Here!
92. Ariel Pink, "Sexual Athletics"
84. Sun Kil Moon, "Carissa"
70. Todd Terje feat. Bryan Ferry, "Johnny and Mary"
67. Falls, "Please"

Top 20 Songs: The Uncluded - Organs - 2013
It's important to give away your pieces
In the detail surrounding your death
There will always be a need for the pieces you are made of
You may one day need a few pieces yourself
Jen stood at the finish line
And waited for Dylan to cross
Then she rested her head on the young boy's chest
That held the heart of the little girl she'd lost
Outside of the influential arms of your idolatries
The object will be turning goodbyes into good biology
There will be a DOA who has some parts that seem okay
Coinciding with someone you know that needs a piece replaced
And we will stand around the corpse, fishing in a well of ribs
Treasure hunting just before they show you where the devil is
Nobody is judging you to vilify the guilty
I will cut and dry, be leaving with your kidney
Turtle gave its shell to the
Crab who gave its eyes to the
Bird who gave its wings to the bat
The bat gave its sonar to the
Dolphin who gave its blowhole to the
Whale who gave its tail to the cat
Outside any biases or post mortem reliances
A moment of silence that needs a poster-boy for science
There will be a system which allows them to unzip your skin
Cherry-picking innards from the synthesis they pickle in
And someone that you never meet will wake on a convenient day
Marvel in the lucky news, plug into your DNA
And know the love inside a dying human's final gesture
I will cut and dry, be leaving with your liver

10 OF THE CATCHIEST INDIE SONGS OF 2013
Traditionally, indie music has been celebrated for reasons other than pure catchiness. Sure, there have always been catchy indie songs, and that's always a draw for some people, but there's also a stigma attached with huge hooks and songs so immediate that you're singing along by the end of the first chorus. Lately, though, it seems like indie pop is having something of a moment. Embracing the massive hooks and addicting melodies, indie artists are figuring out how to use production, style, and delivery to make even though most instantly gratifying songs interesting enough to maintain indie credibility and staying power. We're not complaining. Here are 10 of the catchiest indie songs of the year so far.
